Not sure what’s the difference from malatang, but they have a good variety of homemade meat, more various than other malatang restaurants. I personally like the smoke pork and the deep fried pork. One good detail to note is that they strained water well from the food and make it less heavy.

I’ve tried so many malatang places in toronto but this might be my favourite one! The Spicy soup and tomato soup were super flavourful! Super authentic Sichuan flavours. The ingredients selection was impressive, even though not the biggest it had all the essentials! They have malatang combos for one person at only 16. Usually, 400g minimum or 32.99/kg. Cash discount too! This place is so affordable, honestly a hidden gem. 1.50 dessert with any bowl til April 30th! 3 to choose from, Brown sugar sweet rice drops, brown sugar ice jelly or sweet rice jelly fusion! We got the Brown sugar jelly, it was super yummy! Great to cool down the spice if you aren’t good with it 4 soups to choose from, I got the Spicy one specially extra spicy. Tomato, Pork bone, Sauerkraut, or Spicy. Dry Spicy mix available as well. I HIGHLY recommend coming here! Great staff and food 9/10!! street parking is available

This is probably the most delicious small hot pot I have ever had in GTA. The soup, especially the one with Sauerkraut, is very tasty and authentic. Also, the place is vegetarian friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Chengdu food

If you’re a fan of bold, spicy, and numbing Sichuan flavors, Wu Ming Mao Cai is a must-try. Their broth is rich and aromatic, packed with Sichuan peppercorns and chili, delivering that signature mala (numbing and spicy) taste. The variety of ingredients—from tender beef slices to crunchy lotus root and tofu skin—adds layers of texture, making every bite satisfying. The portion sizes are generous, and you can customize your bowl with different spice levels and ingredient combinations. The restaurant itself has a casual yet authentic vibe, perfect for a quick but flavorful meal. Service is usually efficient, and the food comes out hot and fresh. Pros: Authentic Sichuan flavors Customizable ingredients and spice levels Generous portions Cons: Might be too spicy for some Limited seating during peak hours Overall, if you love Sichuan cuisine and want something different from traditional hot pot, Wu Ming Mao Cai is a fantastic choice!
